I am so pleased to announce that I  now offer Ashiatu Massage in my Redmond, OR studio! I truly believe in the benefits of Ashiatstu so I pursued additional education.  In 2016, I received my Ashiatsu training and certification  through Ashiatsu Barefoot Bar Therapy.

Ashi- (foot) -atsu (pressure) is a deep, painless form of barefoot massage. Deep tissue massage clients often ask for more pressure than the therapist can provide in a traditional massage. Because the massage therapist has the ability to use their body weight, hands and feet throughout the massage, Ashiatsu, allows for a deeper massage and a greater relaxation of the muscle fibers.

In Ashiatsu, the massage therapist’s bare feet use a massage technique to comfortably glide with deep pressure over your body. Bars overhead are used by the therapist during the massage session for balance and support. Ashiatsu massage can create a structural change in chronically tight muscles and soft tissues leading to deeper relaxation, overall calmness and a sense of well-being.

If you love deep body work and want to experience a new way to reach those deep muscle fibers during a relaxing massage, request a Ashiatsu Massage.
